Quantum has become a place of confidence for common people now- Professor Dr. Motiur Rahman Molla

“I have seen the growth of Quantum Voluntary Blood Donation Program from the very beginning. A notable portion of the total requirement of blood in our country is now being fulfilled by Quantum Lab. They perform the required screening tests quite well here. In fact, this is why I refer my patients to Quantum Lab whenever needed. Considering the standard of quality, Quantum has become a place of confidence for common people.”

Above is the excerpt from the keynote by chief guest Professor Dr. Motiur Rahman Molla, senior consultant and coordinator of Department of Maxillofacial Surgery of Apollo Hospital, in the Hundred Lifelong Blood Donor Felicitation Program organized by Quantum Foundation on December 29, 2019. The 153rd episode of such felicitation program was arranged in Quantum Meditation Hall in Kakrail, Dhaka. Eighty-eight lifelong blood donors, who have donated blood for at least three times, were awarded honorarium certificate, ID card and crest in the ceremony.
The chief guest Dr. Motiur Rahman Molla said, “You are donating blood selflessly. You are contributing to our welfare. You are engaged in good deeds in a period where the level of ethics is at an all-time low among common people. I also thank Quantum Foundation for taking such initiative. They are not only organizing voluntary blood donation programs, but also several other types of morale building activities. For instance, I was really impressed after visiting Quantum Cosmo School and its medical center ‘Shafian’ in Lama, Bandarban. The humanitarian programs are running quite well there.”

Addressing the blood donors, he added, “Since you all are donating blood voluntarily, a lesser number of patients are forced to take blood from professional donors. However, the practice is not completely eliminated. So apart from donating blood yourselves, please motivate others to do the same. It is even useful for the donors as you get to have free tests of Hepatitis-B, Hepatitis-C, Syphilis, AIDS and Malaria.
Chief coordinator of Quantum Voluntary Blood Donation Program Madam Nahar El Bukhari presided over the event and expressed her gratitude to the blood donors and guests. She said, “It is not for us humans to reward the blood donors for an act of such magnitude. Only God can reward you with what you deserve.”
